NALS offers three certifications dedicated to the legal services profession. The exams are of varying levels and are developed by professionals in the industry. The links below will redirect you to NALS.org for more detailed information and applications to take certification exams.

STUDY OPTIONS
Local and On-line Study Groups NALS of Phoenix currently has an active certification study group available. If you want further information about the study group, contact Terry Houston, PP at houstontj@aol.com. NALS offers an Online Study Group on Tuesday evenings at 8:00 p.m. CST at no cost to members. Members and non-members are encouraged to participate. The information is available at NALS.org. Study Materials In addition, some people just study better on their own. You can get the study materials through the information available at NALS and study at your own pace. Finally, through the various NALS publications, there is a lot of information to help you hone your knowledge. The NALS of Phoenix Findings of Fact ("FOF") includes a quiz in each issue to test your knowledge of topics covered on the certification exams. | ALS Certification (ALS)
This is the basic certification. The exam is for those with at least one year of general office experience, who have passed an accredited office curriculum course, or who have passed the NALS Legal Training Course.
PLS Certification (PLS)
The advanced certification for legal professionals with at least three years' experience in the legal field.
Professional Paralegal (PP)
Dedicated to those professionals who have at least five years' experience performing paralegal/legal assistant duties.
