NALS of Phoenix ("NOP") is a legal support organization dedicated to enhancing the education of its members and the legal community. NOP annually awards a scholarship to a NOP member or a deserving student in the Phoenix area who is currently working in the legal field, or is pursing, or plans to pursue a career as a legal support professional (positions including, but not limited to, legal secretary, paralegal, attorney, court reporter, law office administrator, or a person employed in the court system).

This year NOP will be offering two scholarships in the amount of $500 each.  The recipient may use the funds to begin, continue, or complete his or her legal education and/or to obtain a legal certification.  In order to qualify, an applicant must be a NOP member in good standing, or a senior in high school or currently enrolled in a school of advanced education (i.e. college or vocational school), with a grade average of "B" or better, or may be pursuing a certification through a legal support organization such has NALS.

CURRENT SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITY

Applications must be returned to NOP Scholarship Chairperson and postmarked no later than November 30, 2012. Incomplete applications, or those postmarked after November 30, 2011, will not be considered.  Applications will be reviewed by a committee of legal professionals, and a decision will be announced by December 30, 2012.
